I would first like to thank everyone who made August the best month yet for the 'Drawn to Help' ACEOs-for-a-cause project!

Here are the numbers as they now stand:

Raised for WaterAid: $63 www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser…
Raised for Community Music Institute: $35
Raised for the World Wildlife Fund: $56

There are still many cards left, so you haven't missed out. You can find them on Etsy www.etsy.com/shop/ChandraValli sorted into their various causes.

And don't forget that you can enter DARTISTS into the coupon field at checkout to receive a 20% discount. The charities still receive the same amount - it's just removing my materials cost mark-up.

Ninety cards have now been drawn; and I haven't run out of art supplies yet, so it's time to announce the coming themes!

First I'm going to take a quick detour for a local cause, and draw some flora for a week for the Mt Pisgah Arboretum www.mountpisgaharboretum.com/ , a hands-on educational park I have been volunteering at since 2010. Every year, they lead field trips for thousands of schoolchildren, giving them a morning-long lesson in ecology and Earth sciences first hand.

They're needing funds for their autumn school programme, and so a week of cards will be devoted to them.

After that, it's back to Greenpeace, as promised, for a full series! If you have any requests or ideas of cards you would like to see, let me know - I'm always in need of inspiration!

And if you would like a cause you believe in to be the subject of a future theme, let me know in the comments section of the poll below. I'm always happy to consider new projects.

All the best!

C.

There is a wonderful organization called FlyFree that I was wondering if you could consider for your next month of cards. It is a cause dedicated to stopping the captive parrot trade and helping to save these beautiful birds from extinction.
