(And a very happy Halloween for those near my time zone.)

As many of you will know, November is (inter)National Novel Writing Month, a month marked by a phenomenal, world-wide event known as NaNoWriMo nanowrimo.org/ which encourages everyone to pick up a pen and write 1,667 words per day, or 50,000 words over the course of a month. The project encompasses schools, and encourages creativity, literacy, and self-expression, and is very, very fun.

I won't be writing for it this year (though I do have some plot ideas hatching for next year). However, I will be participating - the feedback from the majority of you indicated that NaNoWriMo's Young Writers' Programme is the favoured recipient for November's Drawn to Help earnings. So NaNo it is!

HOWEVER, I'm trying to stretch myself with this project, as well, and to learn a few new skills in the process. This month, I've decided that I've limited myself in medium for too long, so I'm taking up the brush and doing paint and multimedia cards this time around.

Drying time means that each card will take more than one day, so I'm doing something a bit different for November and December...

I will be offering the sketches that I do as drafts on every odd day (1st, 3rd, 5th and so on), at half-price, with profits going to The Book Bus www.thebookbus.org/index.html , a wonderful project suggested by

Then, assuming that they're dry enough to scan, I will post the completed work on the following even day, with profits going to fund the NaNoWriMo Young Writers' Programme.
